Head coach Mauricio Pochettino feels his Tottenham Hotspur team will have learned a lot during their 3-1 Champions League victory over Borussia Dortmund.

Spurs struggled for large parts of the first half at Wembley although they went in at half-time holding a 2-1 lead, however, they took charge after the interval and a second goal of the game from Harry Kane put the game to bed.

Sometimes you can't dominate, you have to play a different way and the team is more mature now.

And Pochettino believes that the high-pressure game of Dortmund forced he and his players to adapt their approach, which he is sure will help them when faced with similar opponents in the future.

The Argentinian told reporters: "It was so important to win. Dortmund played really well, they dominated the first half. We increased our level in the second half and we were very clinical in front of goal.

"At half-time we fixed some problems and modified the position of some players. The tempo of the game decreased which was better for us.

"Sometimes you can't dominate, you have to play a different way and the team is more mature now. We can learn a lot from this game - it means more than three points."

Having made a winning start in Europe, Spurs are back in Premier League action at teatime on Saturday when they play host to Swansea City.

Tottenham have won all six of their home top-flight clashes with the Swans and are 1.20 to make it seven this weekend.

England striker Kane is 3.00 to score the first goal of the game and 1.40 to score at any time.
