Bulldog excited by new arrivals
Western Bulldogs star Caleb Daniel is backing No.1 NAB AFL draft pick Jamarra Ugle-Hagan to make an early impact when the 2021 campaign gets underway.
It is exciting times for the Bulldogs after they snapped up Adam Treloar and retained the services of Josh Dunkley during a hectic Trade Period.
Forward Mitch Hannan and ruckman Stefan Martin also arrived, before Ugle-Hagan was added during the draft.
The young forward's return to training was put on hold due to sickness, but he is now among the rest of the players and is already making a good impression.
So much so, Daniel believes he will make an immediate impact when the season gets underway.
"He just did a running test and added some skill stuff with us but you can tell how skilful he is, and he'll definitely add a different dynamic to that forward line," Daniel said.
"I'm really looking forward to getting out and playing some match sim with him and being able to find out how he goes about his business."
Following the arrival of Treloar and co, Daniel says the whole playing group are excited about what the future could hold with the season fast approaching.
"Any time you're able to recruit really quality players it really adds excitement to, not just you but, the supporters and the outside media I guess," Daniel added.
"But inside the four walls we're really excited about what the new guys are able to do for the team and what we're able to do around them."
The Bulldogs are priced at 12.00 to win the AFL grand final.
