GWS yet to decide on Coniglio return
GWS coach Leon Cameron says he has yet to decide whether or not skipper Stephen Coniglio will return to the side that faces St Kilda this weekend.
Cameron took the brave call to drop Coniglio for the clash with Melbourne last week, but it had no effect on the result as the Giants still lost by five points.
The defeat left their chances of making the top eight dangling by a thread and they need to beat Saints to have any chance of squeezing in to a finals spot.
Whether Coniglio plays has yet to be decided but Cameron has been impressed with the way his captain has responded to being left out.
"Clearly it was a really tough decision last week, but he's the first one to put up his hand and say he was out of form," Cameron told reporters.
"He could have wallowed around in pity and 'woe is me' but one thing that I really love about 'Cogs' is his character.
"He's front and square in all of our meetings, he joined us in the box on the weekend and that's why he's going to be a very, very good captain of the footy club. He'll bounce back."
It has been a tough week for the Cameron and the Giants, who have also had to come to terms with losing defender Aidan Corr.
Corr has quit the Giants to explore his free agency options, with reports claiming a move to North Melbourne will happen.
GWS are now in need of a much-needed lift and defeating St Kilda on their way to the top eight would help.
GWS are priced at 2.05 to beat St Kilda, who are 1.80.
