Breazeale fancies White bout
The heavyweight division is the most fascinating in boxing and Dominic Breazeale believes hs deserves a shot at glory and has taken aim at Dillian Whyte.
Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are the lords of the ring, but Breazeale has set his sights on another Brit - Whyte - and the American believes he would have too much power should the pair get it on.
Joseph Parker and Andy Ruiz Jr, who stunned Joshua to land one of the biggest boxing upsets, have been mentioned as possible contenders to take on Breazeale, who instead fancies a crack at Whyte after the pair were supposed to do battle last February.
Breazeale instead fought Deontay Wilder, losing for just the second time in his career, with the other coming against Joshua in 2016.
In the end, I think I come out with the knockout win.Dominic Breazeale
Whyte has already beaten Parker and Oscar Rivas so has quality form in the book and is looking at taking on bigger scalps over the next 12 months.
His next fight is scheduled to be at Manchester Arena against Alexander Povetkin in July and he will also be hoping for his chance to land the WBC belt, currently held by Fury, should he overcome the Russian this summer.
That may not leave any room for Breazeale in a congested calendar but that did not stop the American from predicting a comfortable victory should he face the Brit.
"My ability to have been in the ring with some of the best in the heavyweight division so far, will be way too much for him," Breazeale told Sky Sports.
"I think he has problems making adjustments as far as fighting guys who can box as well as fighting guys who can throw leather."
"In the end, I think I come out with the knockout win for sure," added the confident Californian.
Dillian Whyte is 1.25 to beat Alexander Povetkin, who is 3.75.
