Dawid Malan has been added to the England one-day squad for the five-match series in Australia which starts on 14th January.
All-rounder Ben Stokes, who has not been involved in the Ashes series, will not travel with the group of players who are leaving the UK on Tuesday.
England are 3-0 down in the Ashes series with one Test remaining, which is scheduled to start in Sydney on Thursday. The tourists are 4.50 to win the fifth Test while an Australia victory is available at 1.66.
Malan is yet to play a 50-over match for England, although he did feature in a Twenty20 game against South Africa seven months ago before making his Test debut in July.
He scored a century in the third Test defeat to the Baggy Greens in Perth and has scored 316 runs in seven innings Down Under.
Stokes played three one-day games and three T20s for New Zealand side Canterbury before Christmas and has been given permission by the England and Wales Cricket Board to take part in the Indian Premier League. The 26-year-old played for Rising Pune Supergiants last year.
