MVG back to winning ways
Three-time defending champion Michael van Gerwen was pleased to get back to winning ways in the Premier League, as he defeated Gerwyn Price 7-2 in Nottingham.
MVG had drawn with John Henderson and lost out to James Wade in his previous two matches, so the Dutchman was content with the result against Price, even if an average of a touch over 96 was nothing to write home about.

Mighty Mike told the official PDC website: "The main thing was to get back to winning ways, so I'm happy with that, even though the performance wasn't fantastic.
"Of course, I like to be top of the league and I know I have to work hard to stay there.
"I have to be at my best every week now to keep my record of topping the league phase every year since my debut season."
Van Gerwen has topped the Premier League standings in all six seasons that he has taken part in the competition, starting back in 2013.
The reigning PDC world champion has also reached the final of the tournament in all six of those campaigns, winning the title in 2013, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
In 2014 he was beaten in the final by compatriot Raymond van Barneveld and 12 months later Gary Anderson beat MVG 11-7 in the showpiece finale.
Van Gerwen can currently be backed at 1.53 to win the Premier League title for a fifth time, with Rob Cross priced at 5.00 and Price available at 1000.00.
