Victory sign Antonis and Djulbic
Former Sydney FC midfielder Terry Antonis and ex-Socceroo Dino Djulbic have joined the Melbourne Victory.
Coach Kevin Muscat announced the signings of the duo as the transfer window opened. Antonis has inked a contract for two-and-a-half years, while Djulbic has joined as an injury replacement player on a short-term deal.
Muscat said: "Dino and Terry are experienced footballers and just the type of players we needed to sign at this point of the season.
"We've developed a really balanced squad, with plenty of competition and we're well placed to tackle a particularly busy period that will also include the Asian Champions League."
Antonis has played 80 A-League games, having started his career with Sydney FC in 2010. He made 69 appearances and scored five goals before signing for Greek side PAOK in 2015.
The 24-year-old only played four times for PAOK and was loaned out twice, joining Western Sydney for an 11-game stint last season.
After being released at the end of last season by his parent club he signed a two-year deal with Dutch side VVV-Venlo in July, but the move didn't work out.
Djulbic has come in as cover for the injured James Donachie and will also help cover the loss of Thomas Deng, who is away with the Australian Under-23's for the rest of January.
He had two spells with Perth Glory during which he racked up 85 A-League appearances, and most recently played in the Malaysia Super League for Felda United.
Both players will be available for this weekend's clash with Central Coast Mariners in Geelong, pending an international transfer clearance.
Victory are 1.57 to win their next game against Central Coast, who are 6.00, with the draw 4.00.
