Frank senses Bees' play-off advantage
Brentford manager Thomas Frank believes his side's two victories over Swansea earlier this season can give them an advantage as the Bees prepare for the first leg of their Championship play-off game at the Liberty Stadium.
The west London outfit were left disappointed on Wednesday when they lost 2-1 at home to Barnsley in their final league game of the season.
Victory over the Tykes would have seen them leapfrog West Brom and take the second automatic promotion place after the Baggies drew 2-2 with QPR.
However, Frank says his team will be able to cope with that disappointment and is confident as his team have already won 3-0 in Wales this season and beat the Swans 3-1 in the other fixture at home.
The first leg of the semi-final is on Sunday and the return leg will be played on Wednesday, which will be the last match at Griffin Park.
Frank said: "That should give us confidence going into these two games. They will be two different games with two ways of playing and possible extra time.
"It will be slightly different, but we need to take the confidence from those wins with us in these games. It was painful and hurt a lot on Wednesday night.
"It was a slightly better feeling when I found that the sun actually rose again on Thursday morning.
"There's only two options in life. You can sit down and cry, think the world is unfair and things are against you. Or you can stand up and fight. Of course that's what we have chosen to do - and we are ready."
Brentford are 2.05 to win the first leg against Swansea, who are 3.80. The draw is available at 3.30.
