Arteta - Wembley win would be crucial
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has claimed that qualifying for Europe is a "must" for the club going into Saturday's FA Cup final showdown with Chelsea.
The Gunners finished eighth in the Premier League standings but can still make the Europa League if they beat Chelsea, who placed fourth in the league, at Wembley.
Arteta, who won the FA Cup with Arsenal as a player in 2014 and 2015, was brought in as the permanent replacement for Unai Emery in December and there have been positive signs around the club early in his tenure.

The north London outfit have beaten Leeds United, Bournemouth, Portsmouth, Sheffield United and Manchester City to reach the final against Chelsea, who are targeting their first piece of silverware under Frank Lampard.
Arteta has claimed he is trying not to link the winning of the competition with qualifying for Europe but admits that it is crucial the club are involved in continental competition.
Asked whether about the prospect of qualifying for the Europa League by winning the FA Cup, Arteta said: "I wouldn't like to talk too much or link these two factors but it is a reality that financially it would be really helpful.
"Obviously in the sporting side as well because to play in Europe for this club is a must and we have the opportunity to do both tomorrow.
"For me, as well, it is so special that it is in my first season in charge in a final with the team and the boys are really excited and looking forward top the game tomorrow."
Arsenal are 2.37 to win the FA Cup on Saturday with Chelsea 1.57.
The Gunners are 3.75 to win the match in 90 minutes, with the draw 3.50 and the Blues 2.00.
