Hill dreams of Spurs showdown

Rochdale boss Keith Hill is excited about the possibility of his side playing host to Tottenham Hotspur in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Dale edged their fourth-round replay against Millwall 1-0 and now await the winner of the replay between Spurs and Newport County, which is being played on Wednesday evening.

My head says let's play Newport, who we would respect, but my heart says let's play Tottenham.

And Hill says the opportunity to take on one of the Premier League big boys would be great for his club, both on and off the field.

He told reporters after an Ian Henderson strike was enough to see off the Lions at Spotland: "The finance is the stand-out reward - it's a chance to dream and a chance to play against Premier League opposition if Spurs beat Newport.

"My head says let's play Newport, who we would respect, but my heart says let's play Tottenham.

"We would have to play at our very, very best and they would have to have an off-day for us to have any chance, but that's the dream."

Away from cup action, Dale are in deep trouble near the foot of the League One table, as they lie eight points adrift of safety.

They are back in league action on Saturday when they play host to an equally out-of-form Fleetwood Town.

Dale can be backed at 2.15 to claim three much-needed points and are 6.00 to win the game 1-0, with a 1-1 draw priced at 6.00.
