Limp display displeases Jose
Jose Mourinho was unhappy with his Manchester United team's lethargic display in their 2-0 FA Cup quarter-final win against Brighton.
Mourinho had been hoping for a more positive reaction following United's Champions League exit at the hands of Sevilla in midweek and left Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez on the bench for the repeat of the 1983 FA Cup final.
Romelu Lukaku opened the scoring in the 37th minute before Nemanja Matic doubled United's lead in the closing stages on a snowy evening at Old Trafford.
"I am happy that we go to Wembley again," Mourinho said afterwards. "But I am not happy with the performance. I expected more, we worked for more. We need more personality. Personality has a big influence in the quality that you show.
"I think [Nemanja] Matic was by far the best player in the team. Clearly, the personality, the desire, no fear to play, no fear to make mistakes.
"The team didn't play as well as we prepared. These players, they need to play with pressure and feel the pressure."
United can be backed at 2.00 to win the FA Cup outright this season, while Chelsea are available at 1.80 and Tottenham at 12122.00.
