United's dynamic duo earn Solskjaer plaudits
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has praised the relationship between Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial as Manchester United prepare for Sunday's FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.
Rashford and Martial were both on target in United's 2-0 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Thursday to keep the Red Devils in the hunt for Champions League qualification, but attention now turns to a massive showdown at Wembley.
United have won all three matches against Chelsea this season, claiming 4-0 and 2-0 successes in the Premier League and a 2-1 EFL Cup victory at Stamford Bridge with the dynamic duo of Rashford and Martial making major impacts on those fixtures.
Rashford scored twice on the opening weekend of the season back in August during the 4-0 win and then grabbed both goals in the cup triumph, while Martial was on target in each of the two Premier League encounters.
The pair have each scored 17 times in the Premier League this season with Martial grabbing six goals in his last six starts and Rashford has three in his last four, leading to Solskjaer talking them up as United go in search of their first silverware under the Norwegian.
Solskjaer believes they have evolved since Rashford started playing out wide and Martial was selected through the middle rather than challenging for the same position and said: "We are delighted with their performances.
"We work on it, we work on patterns but they’ve been together at the club for so long.
"There was a spell where they were challenging for the same position but now they play together and are starting to click."
United are 2.62 to win against Chelsea on Sunday with the Blues at 2.75 and the draw is 3.20.
United are 1.90 to qualify for the final with Chelsea at 1.90.
