Josh Murphy scored Cardiff's first goal.

Cardiff City clinched their first Premier League victory of the season at the ninth attempt with a 4-2 triumph against Fulham.

Neil Warnock's side had to come from behind to win the match though as Andre Schurrle opened the scoring with a 25-yard shot.

Goals by Josh Murphy and Bobby Reid put the Bluebirds ahead but Ryan Sessegnon made it 2-2 before the interval.

Second-half goals by Callum Paterson and Kadeem Harris put the seal on a great afternoon for Warnock's team though.

Elsewhere on Saturday afternoon, Manchester City thrashed Burnley 5-0 and Tottenham won the London derby at West Ham United 1-0.

Newcastle's woes intensified as they slumped to a 1-0 home defeat to Brighton, while Watford hit back after losing 4-0 at home to Bournemouth a fortnight ago by securing an impressive 2-0 victory at Wolves.

Southampton substitute Manolo Gabbiadini missed a great last-gasp chance as Saints drew 0-0 at Bournemouth while Ross Barkley netted in stoppage time in the lunchtime kick-off at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea drew 2-2 with Manchester United.

Cardiff are 12.00 to draw against Liverpool at Anfield next weekend while Burnley are 10.00 to beat Chelsea.
