Wilder explains Morrison exit
Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has revealed Ravel Morrison's short-term contract at Bramall Lane has come to an end.
The talented midfielder joined the Blades last summer having previously been plying his trade in Sweden with Ostersunds but was limited to just four appearances in all competitions before being loaned out to Championship club Middlesbrough.
Morrison was described by Sir Alex Ferguson as being one of the most gifted youngsters of his generation after progressing through Manchester United's youth ranks. However, off-field issues have overshadowed his career and at 27 years of age, he has already represented 11 different clubs.
Speaking to The Star ahead of Sheffield United's Premier League match with Wolves on Wednesday, Wilder said: "Ravel has left the football club, he's at another club.
"I'm not interested in talking about him. That decision was made. He was here for the first half of the season and now he's at another one."
Neil Warnock admits he has held talks with Morrison about his future at Middlesbrough after recently taking charge at the Riverside and says the former Lazio man has a big decision to make.
Talking about Morrison's future to The Star, Warnock said: "He has a big decision in his life to make, I think, in the next six months. Somebody with that ability shouldn't be messing about from club to club, should he."
Warnock added: "If I can give him an opportunity I will do. But Ravel has got to do it himself hasn't he."
Morrison's former club Sheffield United are 4.20 to win their next Premier League match with Wolves, who are 2.05, with the draw 3.00.
