Travelers layout pleases DeChambeau
Bryson DeChambeau is full of confidence ahead of the opening round of the Travelers Championship, believing that the TPC River Highlands course will suit his game.
DeChambeau has been in fine form over the last couple of weeks, posting top-ten finishes at Colonial and at Harbour Town and he could be ready to make a serious charge at a track that he clearly likes the look of.
The world number 11 is known for his length off the tee and he may be able to drive it even further after putting on 25lbs of muscle due to a strict fitness regime.
Those extra yards could prove to be a real advantage at TPC River Highlands in Connecticut as it is a course which he feels is perfectly set up to play to his strengths.
"I think this golf course suits me a little bit better," he told the media. "I can use the length to my advantage on the front nine and there's a couple of holes on the back nine I can do the same.
"I definitely feel like I can let it go a lot more. I knew that if I could start working out my body every single day, I'd be better the next day, and other people would be behind.
"I thought that if I could do that every single day, I'd come back a different person, and I did."
DeChambeau is 4001.00 to win the Travelers Championship with Rory McIlroy 4001.00, Justin Thomas 1501.00 and Jon Rahm is 4001.00.
