Trainer Gary Hall says he could not be happier with My Hard Copy as he looks to make it back-to-back wins at Gloucester Park on Friday night.
My Hard Copy caused a huge boilover when beating hot favourite Lazarus in last week's Fremantle Cup and will return to the WA track to try and reclaim the Western Australia Cup on Friday night.
My Hard Copy won the title in both 2015 and 2016 but missed last year's event through injury. However Hall believes he is primed to strike again after winning two of his last three outings.
"I couldn't be happier with the way he is going," Hall said. "He got the right run last week and was good enough to make the most of it.
"He's trained on well since and is in great shape. He is unbeaten in the Western Australia Cup, so with a bit of luck he can keep that record intact."
My Hard Copy will begin from the inside of the back row, and Hall has cited defending champion Chicago Bull, who has drawn outside of the front row, as the one to beat.
"Chicago Bull will be favourite, with Soho Tribeca the other main chance," Hall added. "If we can get the right luck between the 800 and 400-metre mark, My Hard Copy is going to be very hard to hold out.
"Hopefully by the end of the night he will have three wins in the race."
