Connections consider Nunthorpe next for Oxted
Saturday's July Cup winner Oxted could be another top sprinter heading for the Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes, with Roger Teal tempted to test his stable flagbearer over five furlongs.
The four-year-old made it two from two this season in Newmarket's Group 1 race, racing from the front and holding off Sceptical by one-and-a-quarter-lengths to give Lambourn-based Teal and jockey Cieren Fallon jr a first top-level success.

Oxted won the valuable Portland handicap, over five-and-a half-furlongs, last year so connections are tempted to take a look at the Nunthorpe on August 21.
He could take on a field including Battaash, Art Power and crack juveniles Golden Pal and The Lir Jet.
Oxted would look to emulate Oasis Dream - the last horse to win the July Cup and Nunthorpe in the same season which he achieved in 2003.
Teal said: "Oxted is grand (this morning) – absolutely fine. He's been out for a pick of grass and seems great, so we're very happy.
"The pace he showed yesterday – he travelled so strong – you could possibly have a punt at the Nunthorpe, I think. He is a strong galloper and has that cruising speed that takes him into the race.
"I guess it would be worth a shot, maybe, but I have to speak to the owners. We'll get our heads together and see what happens."
