Wales return excites Hibbard
Former British & Irish Lions hooker Richard Hibbard says he is relishing the prospect of finishing his club career in Wales with the Dragons.
The 34-year-old has agreed a return to his homeland at the end of the current Aviva Premiership season with Gloucester.
Having penned a three-year deal with the Dragons, Hibbard is looking forward to getting back to Wales after an enjoyable spell in England with the Cherry & Whites.
"To have the chance to finish on a high, back home in Wales in front of family and friends is an exciting one," he said.
"It's been an incredibly difficult decision. The reason it's been so tough is that I've become so attached to Gloucester during my time here.
"I've probably played some of my very best rugby in Cherry and White and I've enjoyed it so much."
Hibbard is set to join current Gloucester team-mate Ross Moriarty, the Wales and Lions back-rower, at Rodney Parade for 2018-19 campaign.
Hibbard has made 91 Gloucester appearances since leaving Ospreys in 2014.
Gloucester are 21.00 to win the Aviva Premiership Grand Final this season.
