Novak Djokovic has won the Shanghai Masters to take an extra step closer to once again becoming the top ranked player in the world.
The Serbian star, ranked as second seed for the tournament, is on a journey back to the top after his struggles with injuries over recent years.
Croatia's Borna Coric could do little to stop the 14-time Grand Slam champion, who looks to be working his way back to his best tennis.
Djokovic managed to wrap up the Shanghai Masters final in one hour and 37 minutes with a 6-3 6-4 victory over Coric.
The title was Djokovic's fourth in the competition and now the 31-year-old looks to be in good form as he edges closer to the ATP Tour Finals at the O2 in London.
Sunday's win was also Djokovic’s 18th consecutive win (including winning 26 successive sets) and the likes of Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer will face a tough test if they are to overcome the Serbian in the season finale.
Meanwhile, Djokovic is 2.20 to win the first Grand Slam of 2019 at the Australian Open, with Nadal at 8.50 and Federer currently at 5.50 to claim the top prize.
