Dolphins host the Raiders in Miami
The Miami Dolphins are the only AFC East Division team in action this weekend as they entertain the Oakland Raiders in South Florida.
Miami enters the contest one game over .500 after a crushing 40-0 loss to the Baltimore Ravens last time out. There was absolutely nothing positive that the Dolphins could take out of the game at the M & T Bank Stadium.
Matt Moore completed 25-of-44 for 176 yards and was picked off twice while the Miami running game could only muster 45 yards on 19 carries.
Jay Ajayi led the way with 23 yards on 13 carries and was subsequently dealt to the Philadelphia Eagles in a move that seemed to signal a lack of ambition this season for the Dolphins.
The counter argument is that Miami has looked at their remaining schedule and concluded that they will struggle to make the post-season.
In addition to Sunday's visit from the Raiders, the Dolphins must play the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills twice each and have games against the Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs.
There are just seven teams in the AFC with a winning record although Miami is currently seventh of the seven as they currently have a lesser Conference record than the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The division leading New England Patriots have their bye week this week, while the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets clashed at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ on Thursday.
It was an opportunity for the Bills to show the country who they were and unfortunately that was the case as the visitors fell flat in a 34-21 set back.
The Patriots are 1.20 to win the AFC title with the Kansas City Chiefs 1213.00 while the Pittsburgh Steelers are priced at 1213.00.
