Eagles host the Broncos
The Philadelphia Eagles will look to remain one of three undefeated teams at home in the NFL this season when they welcome in the Denver Broncos to Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday.
The Eagles lead the NFC East Division by two games in the loss column over the Dallas Cowboys with a 7-1 record, having won six in a row.
Although it should be noted that in many ways Philadelphia's record is a padded one with a couple of victories over the Washington Redskins and wins against the New York Giants, Los Angeles Chargers and San Francisco 49ers, all three of whom were winless when facing the Eagles.
Quarterback Carson Wentz did not play particularly well against the Niners, but it was good enough as the second year pro completed 18-of-32 for 211 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in the 33-10 triumph.
Corey Clement and LeGarrette Blount combined for 102 yards on 26 carries, but it was no surprise when Philadelphia made a move at the trade deadline to bring in running back Jay Ajayi from the Miami Dolphins.
The Eagles take their bye next week and then will travel to Arlington to face the Dallas Cowboys at the AT & T Stadium.
Dallas, who got the better of the Redskins in a rain-soaked Landover, MD last week entertain the Kansas City Chiefs, the only team to have beaten Philadelphia, this Sunday and play the Falcons in Atlanta next, before their showdown with the Eagles.
Philadelphia are 2.37 to win the NFC Championship, with the New Orleans Saints 1213.00 and the Cowboys 1213.00.
