Saints visit the Rams in LA
It's another battle of Division leaders on Sunday when the New Orleans Saints travel to Los Angeles to take on the Rams at the LA Memorial Coliseum.
The Rams were in a similar position this past week as they went into Minneapolis and lost to the Minnesota Vikings at the US Bank Stadium.
The defeat seemed to confirm that LA's record was a little padded although ultimately you can only play the teams on the schedule.
New Orleans will arrive in town the winner of eight in a row, a remarkable turnaround after the Saints lost their first two games of the campaign to the Vikings and the New England Patriots.
Mark Ingram rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries and New Orleans had a useful seven yards per car average as a team on the afternoon at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome as they overcame the Washington Redskins in overtime.
Quarterback Drew Brees completed 29-of-41 for 385 yards and two scores while being picked off once in the 34-31 victory as the Saints rallied from 15 points down late in the fourth quarter.
Rookie Alvin Kamara caught an 18-yard pass for a touchdown with just over a minute to play and then tied proceedings with a successful run for the Two-Point Conversion as New Orleans stunned the visitors.
The Saints will fancy their chances down the stretch although they do have to still play the Atlanta Falcons twice.
There are also home games against the Carolina Panthers and the New York Jets with a regular season finale against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Tampa on New Year's Eve.
New Orleans are 13.00 to win the Super Bowl this season, while the Rams are 15.00 to take the title.
