Top two battle in AFC West Division
The struggling Kansas City Chiefs host a Los Angeles Chargers side with momentum on their side on Saturday at Arrowhead Stadium.
The Chiefs opened the season with a 5-0 record and looked the class of the AFC before stumbling badly to lose six of seven. Last week Kansas City halted a four-game skid with a 26-15 triumph over the visiting Oakland Raiders.
Alex Smith completed 20-of-34 for 268 yards while being picked off once and running back Kareem Hunt rumbled for 116 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries. The rookie rusher out of Toledo had over 100 yards in four of his first five games, but this was the first 100+ yard performance since the Chiefs defeated the Houston Texans at the beginning of October.
This weekend's game is followed by match ups against the Miami Dolphins, also in Kansas City, before finishing the regular campaign on the road in Denver against the Broncos. Both, at least on paper, would appear to be winnable games, giving even more meaning to the game against the Chargers.
LA arrives in town knowing that they lost an early season contest with the Chiefs at the StubHub Center in Carson.
A win for Kansas City on Saturday would give the Chiefs the sweep and make it awfully difficult for the Chargers to overtake KC for the Division crown. Winners of four in a row over the Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns and Washington Redskins, LA concludes their regular campaign in New York against the Jets before hosting the Raiders.
The Chiefs are 1213.00 to win the Super Bowl and the Chargers are priced at 1213.00.
