The UFC returns to Abu Dhabi this Saturday as the promotion starts back-to-back weeks of stacked cards.

UFC 267 features the light heavyweight title fight between Jan Błachowicz and Glover Teixeira meanwhile Petr Yan and Cory Sandhagen battle it out for the interim bantamweight title.

38-year-old Błachowicz faces Teixeira, who turns 42 just two days prior to the bout.

Seven years after facing Jon Jones at UFC 172, Teixeira is hoping to finally get his hands on the light heavyweight title.

Blachowicz is back in the Octagon for the first time since defeating Israel Adesanya in March and faces veteran challenger Teixeira where Dan Hardy expects to see the best versions of both mixed martial artists.

"This is a really exciting match-up. Both of these guys are so experienced in their game that we're going to see the best versions of both of these two mixed martial artists.

“Glover Teixeira has had the same game throughout his UFC career. He’s got good boxing defence, he idolises Mike Tyson and you can see that in his boxing game.

“In the later rounds, he gets hold of his opponents and drags them to the floor where he takes a top position. From there, he’s so good at keeping control of someone with his legs while he grounds and pounds – that’s where Glover really shows his Brazilian jiu-jitsu prowess.”

In the other corner, Hardy predicts that Błachowicz’s counter-striking will be key in this bout.

“There are a variety of different techniques that Jan Błachowicz can use. If he can land some low kicks and some body kicks to weaken Glover Teixeira, when he lands that big left hook, Glover won’t be getting back up.”
