Evil Geniuses outlast FlyQuest
Evil Geniuses have continued their great run of form in the League of Legends LCS Spring Split with a mammoth 45-minute win over FlyQuest.
Evil Geniuses ran out comfortable winners against FlyQuest back in week one and looked as though they would once again come out on top at the start of the round robin as they focused on unique picks such as Varus and Neeko in the bottom lane.
Neither side managed to record a single kill in the opening 14 minutes of the contest but Evil Geniuses took the initiative in the mid-game thanks to their prioritising of towers and objectives.
FlyQuest jungler Josedeodo impressed with a score of 8-3-3 in the match but his side fell to defeat and now have a 3-7 record in the Spring Split. Evil Geniuses meanwhile are now on a three-game winning streak and have a 6-4 record in the competition.
And reflecting on the match, FlyQuest's boss did think they should signs of progress in the match.
Speaking after the game, FlyQuest head coach Lamine-Lounis "Kanani" Khouani told Dot Esports: "In comparison from last week to this week, we've centered a lot of our focus on our development in the macro game.
"We had a lot of eye-openers over the last couple of weeks that we could bring over. I think we had a few scenarios tonight where we could show our progress.
"Even though we've had some frustrating moments like tonight's game against Evil Geniuses, (Josedeodo) draws a lot of good conclusions from that frustration in order to do even better next time."
