Australian Football: Glory reveal new captain

Perth Glory have announced new signing Brandon O'Neill will captain the side in the 2020/21 A-League campaign.
Glory needed a new skipper following the departure of Diego Castro and coach Richard Garcia has turned to midfielder O'Neill.
Perfect choice
O'Neill is back with his hometown club for a second spell and Garcia says he is the perfect choice to be captain as he epitomises everything the club is about.
"Brandon is a proud Perth boy who understands exactly what the DNA of this club is all about and how much it means to our members and fans," Garcia said.

"He will lead by example and play a key role in helping drive home the philosophy we want to instill into the playing group."
Proud moment
Meanwhile O'Neill has also spoken of his pride at being handed the captain's armband and will do his best to lead Glory in the new campaign.
"Being a Perth boy and being able to represent your hometown club is a very special feeling. Being named captain on top is something that I'm extremely honoured by," O’Neill said.
"This role doesn't define me as a person or a player. We have some amazing leaders at this football club, people that I'm learning from every day.
"I think it's important for me to try and help people become the best versions of themselves and to allow all the lads to be vulnerable enough to say, 'this is me and I'm ready to have a crack'.
"If we have an environment where people feel safe to be themselves, then I feel that us as a group will only benefit on the pitch."
Glory have also confirmed that fellow West Australian Natasha Rigby will captain the women's side for a third straight season in the new A-League campaign.
