Australian Football: Macarthur complete Mariappa deal
Macarthur FC have moved into the transfer market to snap up former Premier League defender Adrian Mariappa on a three-year deal.
The Bulls are priced at 9.50 to win the 2021/22 A-League grand final and hope the addition of the Jamaican international will boost their chances.
Mariappa is now 35 and has plenty of experience under his belt following spells in the Premier League with Watford, Crystal Palace and Reading.
He more recently played with Bristol City in the English Championship and has made 57 appearances for the Jamaican national side.

Mariappa jumped at the chance to join the bulls and is excited by the opportunity to play in the A-League.
"When the opportunity to join the Bulls arrived, it was one I couldn't turn down," Mariappa said after the deal was announced. "It's an exciting new challenge for me in my career and that for me is what I thrive off.
"I'm hungry to achieve great things with the club and create new memories with the team and the fans."
Macarthur already have a strong looking squad and the addition of Mariappa will make them even more competitive this season.
"I'm thrilled that the club has been able to secure a player of Adrian's quality and experience," coach Ante Milicic added.
"Although he has never played A-League before, I'm most certain he will make a seamless adjustment given the career he has had so far."
