Gerrard praises Rangers' level
Steven Gerrard has set his Rangers team the target of repeating Thursday’s performance against Brondby to give themselves a chance of qualifying for the Europa League knockout stages.
The Gers are 1.36 to win at St Mirren on Sunday when they return to Scottish Premiership action, while a Buddies victory is 8.50 and the draw is available at 4.75.
Gers get off the mark
Goals from Leon Balogun and Kemar Roofe were enough for the Scottish champions to see their way past the Danes 2-0 and gave them their first points of the campaign after losses to Lyon and Sparta Prague.
The win left them a point behind the Czechs and there was little to suggest Brondby would be able to turn the situation around when they face Gerrard’s team again in their next match.

Rangers are five points behind leaders Lyon, who have claimed a maximum return from their three games, but finishing second in the group would be enough to earn a play-off game with one of the eight third-placed teams in the Champions League.
Gerrard said: "We deserved the victory, we played with a lot of control and style and we could have maybe got another couple of goals."
"We have played really well for 45 minutes or 60 minutes, but for some reason consistently we haven't found that level where we are churning out 90 minutes, so that is the most pleasing thing for me.
"We've kick-started our Europa League campaign. We've got to replicate this performance and result in a couple of weeks.
"If we do it's going to be very interesting. We've given ourselves a good chance. If we get out this group it'll be a superb job."
