Manchester United looking to bounce back

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he has 'put a few things right' in training this week as Manchester United look to return from the international break with a win at Watford.

United, on a dismal run of just one win in six in the Premier League, areĀ 1.45 to get back to winning ways at Vicarage Road against Claudio Ranieri's strugglers.

Solskjaer under pressure

It looks like a must-win game for Solskjaer, who continues to stay in charge at Old Trafford despite his side's recent poor form.

United could be 12 points adrift of the leaders if they come a cropper at Watford where they lost 2-0 on their last visit in December 2019.

Key duo unavailable

Solskjaer, who will be without both Raphael Varane and Paul Pogba due to injury, insisted after being outclassed by Manchester City in the match immediately prior to the international break that there would be a change in approach at Watford.

Top of his priority list had to be sorting out a defence that has managed just one clean sheet in their last 13 matches which has helped to pile the pressure on Solskjaer.

"When we left each other 13 days ago no one was happy when they left Old Trafford," Solskjaer told reporters.

"They enjoyed the competition with their countries and now they're ready. This week, it's been a very determined and focused group and we've worked on a few things that we know we need to improve on and, hopefully, we see that against Watford.

"Of course, we know that with a poor run of form we put ourselves under pressure, that pressure should be a joy, it should make us a better team, make player perform at the best level."
