Garcia confirms Dembele blow
Lyon striker Moussa Dembele is set for a spell on the sidelines after breaking his arm during a training session on Tuesday, according to boss Rudi Garcia.
The 24-year-old hasn't been a regular for the Ligue 1 outfit this term, starting just twice since October and finding the back of the net on one occasion.
Dembele has been key over recent years, scoring 24 goals across all competitions in 2019-20, but he won't have the opportunity to get his campaign back on track after suffering the injury during training.
"We'll see what the course of action is with him, but for now he is unavailable," said Garcia
Despite Dembele's struggles, Lyon have enjoyed a strong start to 2020-21 and they head into Wednesday's clash at home to Nantes sitting second in the standings.
They are level on points with leaders Lille, who travel to Montpellier this evening, after earning a 4-1 win over Nice on Saturday and are unbeaten in 13 Ligue 1 outings.
"We will have to play a 14th game in a row without defeat," added Garcia.
"No points are won in advance. Nantes came to win here last year. This game requires all our attention, all our investment to be able to win and add a win to what's been a great run."
Lyon are 1.25 to claim victory over Nantes, who are 10.00 to win, while the draw is available at 6.00.
