Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo insists his side will "continue to fight for the Scudetto" going into their Serie A clash with Spezia on Tuesday.

The Turin outfit have won the Serie A title in each of the last nine seasons but are off the pace this campaign.

Under the stewardship of club legend Pirlo, Juve trail leaders Inter Milan by ten points and are six points behind second-placed AC Milan, although they do have a game in hand over both sides above them.

(The players) want to go back to winning the title and this makes me feel comfortable.

Their hopes of winning the Champions League also took a hit last month after they lost the first leg of their last-16 clash with FC Porto 2-1.

They take on the Portuguese side in the second leg next Tuesday but first have two league games at home against Spezia, who look likely to stave off relegation this term, and then Lazio.

And Pirlo expects a tough game from the side who are currently 15th in the league standings.

Speaking before the match on Tuesday, Pirlo said: "Spezia are proving to be up for Serie A, having a great championship. They have achieved great results against the big teams too. It will be a difficult match.

"It will be an important match for us, who must continue to fight for the Scudetto.

"I wouldn't say we can chase the Scudetto if I didn't know that the team thinks so too. I know the lads believe it, they train well and want to go back to winning the title and this makes me feel comfortable."

Juventus are 1.25 to beat Spezia, who are 12.00 to win with the draw 5.75.

The Bianconeri are 51.00 to win Italy Serie A 2020/21.
