Steven Gerrard has talked up the confidence within his Rangers squad as they look to make a positive return to the Europa League on Thursday.

After topping their group with an unbeaten record, Rangers, who reached the last-16 of the competition last term, take on Royal Antwerp in the round of 32.

Gers have lost just once in all competitions this season, falling to a 3-2 defeat at St Mirren in December and they have opened up an 18-point lead at the top of the Premiership.

Attention turns to Europe on Thursday when they head to Belgium for the first leg of their knockout tie and Gerrard is confident they can claim a positive result ahead of the return fixture on home soil next week.

He said: "The atmosphere in the group is outstanding at the moment - they are playing with belief and confidence.

"So it is an exciting one and it will be over the two legs. It is one we are really looking forward to - the boys are excited and we want to bounce over to Belgium and give a real, good account of ourselves and make the supporters proud and set Ibrox up for next week."

Rangers can be backed at 2.05 to earn a first-leg victory against Royal Antwerp, who are priced at 4.00, while the draw is available at 3.20.
