PGA Championship - Golf: Punters back Scottie to be too hotty once again – Woods still a Major force?

Scottie Scheffler landed the first golf major of the season and his growing army of fans are ploughing into the Masters winner to go back-to-back in the US PGA Championship after his brilliant start to 2022.
bet365’s Steve Freeth said: “We definitely don’t want Scheffler in our ante-post book having been 40/1 about him before his Augusta triumph and punters have been getting stuck into the 12/1 and 11/1 over the last few days.”

Other players to attract interest in bet365’s Outright market include Cameron Smith, Cameron Young, Jordan Spieth and Tiger Woods.
“We had Woods for fortunes in the Masters and while he started well, he tailed off slightly to finish a very respectable 47th, which was impressive under the circumstances.
“Whether people think he’ll strip fitter for that outing last month, he’ll flourish at a course he won at in 2007 or just that his class will shine through, time will tell but our customers are in no mood to desert the 15-time Major winner” added Freeth.
bet365 are yet to see too much interest in Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa, Patrick Cantlay and Dustin Johnson with the quintet currently being good results for the firm.
