Perez keen to take opportunity
Sergio Perez wants to make full use of his "big opportunity" with Red Bull and believes he can help to push the team forwards in 2021.
The Mexican is preparing to embark on his 11th season in Formula 1 after spells with Sauber, McLaren, Force India and Racing Point.
He will be representing the fifth team of his career when taking to the grid in 2021 after agreeing a switch to Red Bull, replacing Alexander Albon.
Perez was snapped up by Red Bull after a coming-of-age campaign in 2020 as the team look to provide Max Verstappen with a competitive partner.
The 30-year-old picked up his first race victory last term, winning the Sakhir Grand Prix, and finished fourth in the Drivers' Championship - 89 points shy of Verstappen in third.
After a seven-year stint with Force India, who latterly became Racing Point, Perez admits he is having to adjust to the change of scenery but is confident of being successful with the Milton Keynes-based outfit.
"You've been with a family for so many years, you are used to see them and then all of the sudden you're changing. But I have to say, I'm starting to feel very comfortable here," Perez said.
"It's a fantastic team, very united and I can see that there's a lot of fun ahead of us.
"Now is my big opportunity. I think I know what I need from myself but I also feel that I can push the team forwards in certain areas, just by talking to the team."
