Lyons has high hopes for Dr Zempf
Ger Lyons is looking forward to unleashing Dr Zempf in Saturday’s Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket.
Lyons, who does not send over runners to Britain for the sake of it, had intended to run Siskin in this Group 1 in 2019 only for his juvenile to be withdrawn at the start after rearing in the stalls but he still has a hope in 6.00 Dr Zempf.

Lyons' charge expected to challenge
Dr Zempf, a son of Dark Angel who finished second in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes to Ebro River last time is regarded as a serious contender.
He had previously won well on debut at the Curragh before finishing fourth in a Group 2 behind Go Bears Go.
Both Ebro River and Go Bears Go are set to be among the opposition to Dr Zempf on Saturday, while the Prix Morny winner Perfect Power, Armor and Asymmetric are others in contention.
Lyons said: "Dr Zempf has always shown quality. His work has come easily to him and he's a horse we've babied along with next year in mind. I'm happy that he'll run his race and be very competitive, he just needs a little luck in running.
"He's a lovely colt and a horse we've liked from day one. He's definitely our Guineas horse. I didn't have him as a six-furlong horse this year but Colin [Keane] has always felt that he's still on the weak side so we'll keep him at this trip for now.
"He's still entered in the Dewhurst. Realistically it's the Middle Park or the Dewhurst but we've got a little bit of time between the races and Aidan O'Brien did it with one of his [U S Navy Flag] and he'd have all winter to get over it."
