NRL: Sullivan commits to Red V
Jayden Sullivan believes the St George Illawarra Dragons are building something special and he is keen to be a part of it after signing a contract extension.
The Dragons are priced at 51.00 to win the 2022 NRL grand final and Sullivan believes a premiership is not too far away for the Red V.
Sullivan has played just six NRL games for the Dragons and the club have wasted no time in getting him tied down to a new deal that will stretch until at least the end of the 2025 season.
Sullivan is the latest local junior to re-sign, following on from Mat and Max Feagai and he believes the future is a bright one.
"To be able to stay home and continue my career in front of my friends and family, I couldn't be any happier. The club means a lot to me," Sullivan said.
"I'm excited to bring some joy to the Red V. I feel like we're building something special here and I can't wait to see what the future brings."
Dragons general manager of football Ben Haran is delighted with the signing and says Sullivan has a very bright future ahead of him.
"Jayden's continued commitment to the Dragons beyond the upcoming 2022 season is something everyone connected to the club should be extremely pleased and proud of," Haran added.
"Jayden is a proven example of our pathways providing opportunities for players to progress through to the NRL level.
"We look forward to seeing him grow as a player over the coming years. He is a great young person to have around the club and he is another important part in the future of the Dragons."
