Grimes - We're as hungry as ever
Dual premiership player Dylan Grimes predicts Richmond could make up to seven changes for Sunday's clash with Sydney.
The Tigers have added nine names to their squad following their 27-point win over Melbourne, including potential debutant Riley Collier-Dawkins.
The reigning premiers will be without Dion Prestia and Toby Nankervis after ankle surgery, while captain Trent Cotchin is out with a hamstring problem.
Bachar Houli and Shane Edwards are not available for coach Damien Hardwick, having remained in Melbourne rather than flying with the team to Queensland.
Tom Lynch remains in the squad despite surgery to fix a broken finger on Monday.
Grimes, who was in flag-winning sides in both 2017 and last year, said there was certainly hunger within the playing group for another premiership.
"We are a different looking side than last year ... we will have seven changes or something around there this week and those guys [coming in] are going to be as hungry as ever to perform and perform to win," he added.
"I don't see the hunger thing or the drive to succeed ... being an issue. Dimma (Hardwick) is pretty good at keeping things grounded and pretty measured.
"I think the hunger is definitely still there. If you think about the other side of the coin, if we were to lose a heap of games and not make finals, imagine that feeling compared to the hunger, I suppose. One is very obviously a priority over the other."
The Tigers overcame injury and form problems last season to win the premiership. They won 12 games straight from outside the top eight, culminating in a Grand Final triumph over GWS.
The Tigers are 29/50 to win their next game against Sydney, who are 29/20.
