Pre-season start motivates Aish
Midfielder James Aish is aware that the coming weeks of pre-season training will be crucial if the Fremantle Dockers are to enjoy a successful 2021 season.
Aish has been forced to follow a training regime given to him by his club back in his home state of South Australia due to coronavirus restrictions, but has now been allowed to head back to Western Australia.
And he is ready to put in the hard yards which he hopes will play off when the 2021 AFL season starts up in March.
He told his club's official website: "The club gave us a program for the whole off-season and I know the SA guys followed it really well, so I feel I'm ready to go now.
"It means it's a really important month, you clearly don't want to have any mishaps and you just want to make every session a good one.
"The games aren't far away, which can be a good thing as well. Hopefully, it's just a clean run for everyone and we get into it."
Meanwhile, Aish says he is happy to fit in wherever he is needs by the Dockers, having dropped into the backline on several occasions last season.
He added: "I'm still happy to keep playing the majority on the wing. I enjoyed doing that and try to get a bit more run into my game.
"I'm also happy to go down back, especially whenever I need to. It might be the same this year, I'm not too sure, but we've got a really good group of mids and backs."
