Chris Lynn's superb domestic form have earned him a spot in the Australia T20 squad for the series against Pakistan in the UAE.

The Queenslander's last five innings have yielded 437 runs, including an unbeaten century against South Australia in Sydney.

Lynn has played ten T20 internationals, averaging 22.57 from his eight innings with a strike rate of 137.39.

He has been named in a 14-man squad led by Aaron Finch for three T20s in Dubai and Abu Dhabi later this month.

The top-order batsman has been affected by shoulder injuries for most of his career.

Lynn said: "For me it's just about playing 12 months of cricket injury-free; I know if I can do that, I'll back my talent and my skill set to put the runs on the board.

"You only get one crack at playing professional cricket so I want to make the most of it. It's probably taken me a little bit longer to realise that with all of my injuries but I'm getting there and hopefully I can put it all to bed and be the best player I can.

"I've missed so much cricket and it's been so frustrating...I get FOMO (fear of missing out) when there's things on."

Finch will be supported on the tour by Mitch Marsh and Alex Carey, who have been named joint vice-captains, while veteran Test spinner Nathan Lyon returns to the squad.

Tasmania's Ben McDermott, who like Lynn has been plundering runs early in the domestic campaign, is in line to make his international debut.

McDermott has scored centuries in two of his last four matches, including an unbeaten 102 against South Australia.

Australia areĀ 8.50 to win their Test series against Pakistan, who areĀ 1.50 with the draw 3.50.
