MVG: Title is all that counts
Michael van Gerwen admits that 'the only thing that counts' at the moment is ensuring that he wins a fourth PDC World Championship title at the ally Pally.
The Dutchman has been in deadly form so far, backing up a 108.98 average in a 3-1 win over Ryan Murray with an average of 106.85 in a 4-0 third-round whitewash of Englishman Ricky Evans.

And Mighty Mike was delighted with his display against Evans, who was left with little to show for having averaged in excess of 100 himself.
Van Gerwen told the official PDC website: "It feels good to play as well as this. Ricky played a phenomenal game, but you have to be prepared for anything, so I am always ready.
"I have to make sure I beat whoever is on my track, I don't care who I play. When you're here the only thing that counts is to play well and win the title."
Prior to the match Van Gerwen had revealed that he opted to spend Christmas away from his family in the Netherlands to try and make sure he was fully focused on the task in hand.
He added: "It has been a difficult year, but I feel fantastic about my game at the moment.
"I always blame myself if I don't do well and I know what I have been doing wrong, but I've prepared perfectly for this tournament. I have no excuses if I don't win it.
"I'm a positive person and I never doubt my ability. I have my moments here and there, but the glass is always half full."
Van Gerwen is now 1212/1 to secure a fourth world title, while he is 1/2 to reach the final and 7/4 to face Iceman Gerwyn Price in that final.
