DAMWON and DragonX in LCK Finals rematch
After each had solid showings during the Group Stage, DAMWON Gaming are set to take on DragonX in a rematch of the LCK Summer Split Finals for the Quarterfinals of the 2020 League of Legends World Championship.
DAMWON only dropped one game during the Group Stage to JD Gaming and that was after they had already clinched the number one seed for the Group.
Thus far DAMWON have lived up to their billing as one of the tournament favorites, with their entire team firing on all cylinders after there were some initial questions about their bottom lane coming onto the international stage.
The top side of Nuguri, Canyon, and ShowMaker has been absurdly dominant, with the Worlds meta being right in their wheelhouse.
On the side of DragonX they are looking to avenge their one-sided loss in the LCK Finals that saw an 0-3 finish.
With a 4-2 record and both losses at the hands of a title favorite in Top Esports, DragonX arguably surpassed expectations by showing consistency against lower level teams.
The two headed monster of Chovy and Deft is everything for this team, with Chovy in particular seen as one of the most individually skilled players in the entire world.
However, the concern comes in for DragonX with Top laner Doran, who has struggled much of the year despite the success that DragonX has largely had.
DragonX have intelligently been placing Doran primarily on tanks, and if they continue to stick to that plan, then there is a shot that DragonX can avenge their prior loss.
DAMWON are 2/5 to win the LOL World Championship.
