Rogue in make or break matchup for Group B
In what essentially is a win or go home matchup, the LEC's third seed in Rogue take on the LPL's second seed in JD Gaming for Group B play at the 2020 League of Legends World Championship Main Event.
Rogue sit at 1-2 with their only win thus far of the Group Stage being over the winless PSG Talon, who look much worse after losing their star stand-ins from the Play-In Stage.
Rogue played well, particularly in the early game against JDG in their first meeting, with Hans Sama amassing multiple kills as he punished JDG's over aggression.
Rogue need to get back to basics with Top laner Finn on a tank while the true stars in Larssen and Inspired receive the priority in the draft phase.
On the side of JDG their only loss of the Group Stage was at the hands of the undefeated DAMWON Gaming, with JDG having a horrific draft that essentially gave DAMWON exactly what they wanted.
Outside of that blunder JDG have been solid, with Jungler Kanavi being the core of the team with his solid Lillia play. LokeN and LvMao have been under the radar throughout the first round robin as a strong bottom side pairing that has been able to scale well despite minimal help thus far.
The one question is the matchup with Yagao into Larssen, with any lead for JDG potentially leading to a blowout given how important Larssen is to the play of Rogue as a whole.
Rogue are 7/2 to win, while JD Gaming are 1/6.
