Team SoloMid look to avoid winless Opening Round Robin
After falling in both of their first two matches of the Group Stage, TSM are desperate for a win as they match up against LGD Gaming for Group C play at the 2020 League of Legends World Championship.
TSM have already been beaten by both Fnatic and Gen.G, and despite having bright spots in both matches, the team overall has fallen flat thus far.
Bjergsen and Spica remain the primary stars of this team while the rest of the squad has yet to prove they belong, even dating back to the tail end of the 2020 Summer Split. Spica will have his hands full in this matchup against another strong Jungle, in this case Peanut.
For LGD they followed up their decent Play In's showing with a 1-1 mark thus far with a victory over Fnatic most recently.
Xiye has been one of the primary carries of this squad, with his Twisted Fate and Sylas both being stand out performances.
This sets up a potential pick and ban phase that heavily focuses the mid lane, with arguably each team's best player within that role.
Kramer and Mark have a chance to get an advantage over Doublelift and Biofrost, who have been nothing to write home about thus far through two matches.
This is by no means a win or go home scenario for TSM, but does appear to be a potential turning point, as a win here coupled with an expected Gen.G win over Fnatic would leave TSM in a three-way tie for the second seed after the first round robin.
Team SoloMid are 2/1 to win, while LGD Gaming are 4/11.
