Sky Blues tough to stop says Lowe
Kenny Lowe was quick to pay tribute to Sydney FC's unstoppable force after seeing his Perth Glory side blown away by the defending A-League champions.
The Force were thrashed 6-0 at Allianz Stadium, where brilliant Brazilian Bobo scored his second hat-trick in as many matches.
Lowe's side were on top for the first 20 minutes until Brandon O'Neill put the Sky Blues ahead, and they rattled in five more goals after the break - the last three to Bobo.
Speaking of the opposition, the Glory coach said: "They were very impressive tonight and won the game comfortably ... they're going to be a tough team to stop."
Sydney FC finished 2017 having won 29 A-League games from 35 to amass 91 points from a possible 105 in the calendar year, scoring 61 goals in the process.
And Lowe says the Sky Blues are one of the best teams he's seen in the A-League, comparing them to Ange Postecoglou's all-conquering Brisbane Roar.
"Brisbane probably passed you to death, but these guys on transition, they sit in, they're so disciplined," added the coach.
"Once you open up, if you don't stay structured and disciplined like we should have done, they'll pick you off with the quality they've got."
The Sky Blues' victory, coupled with Newcastle's loss to Melbourne Victory, lifted Graham Arnold's side eight points clear at the top of the table.
Sixth-placed Perth have been left to regroup after the thrashing came on the heels of back-to-back victories against Wellington and Brisbane Roar.
Perth are 2.80 to win their next game against Adelaide United, who are 2.50, with the draw 3.40.
