Race to Dubai winner Tommy Fleetwood was pleased with his efforts at the Hong Kong Open, which was eventually won by Australian Wade Ormsby.

Fleetwood finished in sixth place at Fanling, registering four rounds in the sixties to end on 9-under par, two shots back from Ormsby - who celebrated his first European Tour victory at the 264th time of asking.

It's hard to be disappointed with sixth place, but I felt like I could have done better.

And the Englishman was content with his form, while rueing his inability to make his putter hot when it really mattered.

He told the official European Tour website: "I played lovely, just didn't get the ball in the hole at all. Just one of them days, it was a bit like that all weekend.

"I played really nice and just couldn't make the putts. I holed a great putt for par which could have been an early momentum builder, but just couldn't get anything going.

"Happy with how I played the first event of the season. It's hard to be disappointed with sixth place, but I felt like I could have done better."

Next on the agenda for Fleetwood is an appearance at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas, the tournament where Tiger Woods is scheduled to make his comeback from long-term injury.

Fleetwood can be backed at 26.00 to win the Hero World Challenge, with Justin Rose available at 11.00 and Hideki Matsuyama 13.00.

Japanese ace Matsuyama claimed victory in the Bahamas 12 months ago, winning by two shots from Henrik Stenson.
