Westwood bids to end barren spell
Lee Westwood is three shots behind joint leaders Jorge Campillo and Dylan Frittelli after three rounds of the Maybank Championship in Malaysia.
Westwood, who was not won a title for almost four years, carded a two-under-par 70 on Saturday following his superb second-round 62.
Both Campillo and Frittelli posted six-under third rounds of 66 to reach 15-under after 54 holes.
South African Frittelli said afterwards: "It was a good round. I started off a bit slow but some good birdies during the middle part of the round and that kept me going.
"It is super bunched. A lot of Japanese guys up there, a few other Spanish guys, Jorge played great today with me. I’m excited to mix it up."
Meanwhile, Campillo said: "It was good. I played solid for most of the round. I had a few tough holes but I managed to make the putts so overall I played solid. It is a good day.
"I’m really looking forward to tomorrow. It is a nice position to be and I’m excited."
Westwood is 1001.00 to win the Maybank Championship, while Campillo can be backed at 101.00 and Frittelli at 501.00.
