First win for Kennewell
South Australian trainer Lloyd Kennewell picked up his maiden Group 1 in Saturday's Winterbottom Stakes (1200m) at Ascot thanks to Viddora.
Viddora defeated Fuhryk, who ran on well after bombing the start, by 1 ½ lengths while former Victorian Durendal, was a long head further back in third.

Kennewell, who was born in Perth, said the race was over at the 200m but jockey Joe Bowditch had done a terrific job to get the daughter of I Am Invincible into the perfect position to use her sprint.
"Everything just opened up at the 400 or 500(m) and it was already on. It was game on," Kennewell told reporters after the race.
"I said to Joey, 'if she's slowly away, ride your own race but make sure you save ground' and he did that perfectly."
Bowditch said Viddora could have recorded a bigger winning margin had his mount kept her focus right to the line.
"The only thing she does sometimes if she gets there too easy, she floats a bit," Bowditch said. "She did that today so there was a lot of credit to her win. If she goes straight and does everything right, she probably wins by further."
Favourite Rock Magic finished fifth, three lengths from the winner while State Solicitor had to settle for eighth.
Meanwhile, Black Heart Bart is 3.25 on a win and each way bet to win next weekend's Kingston Town Classic with Perfect Jewel 6.50 and Material Man priced at 31.00.
