Trainer-reinsman Kim Prentice has set his sights on winning feature events in three different states with star pacer Soho Tribeca.
Soho Tribeca impressed when winning two Inter Dominion Champions heats, before finishing sixth in the final earlier this month, and Prentice hopes he can build on that form.
Soho Tribeca is engaged in tonight $50,000 Village Kid Sprint (1730m) at Gloucester Park, in what is the lead up to next month's $300,000 Fremantle Pacing Cup (2536m) and $450,000 WA Pacing Cup (2936m).
Then the plan is to head East and chase more feature wins.
The $500,000 Hunter Cup (2760m) will be at Melton on 3rd February and Menangle's $750,000 Miracle Mile (1609m) is three weeks later.
"We'll then head to the Hunter Cup in Melbourne and Sydney's Miracle Mile," Prentice said. "The horse is going better than ever and we're keen to take on interstate stars at their home tracks."
As for tonight's assignment Prentice has freshened Soho Tribeca and is expected to attempt an all-the-way win.
He was delighted when drawing gate two, with main rival Chicago Bull in three, while the distance is not a concern.
"We'll aim to take advantage of the barrier," Prentice added. "A switch back to 1700 won't worry Soho Tribeca. He's sharp in trackwork."
