Prentice issues Soho warning
Trainer Kim Prentice has fired an ominous warning to Soho Tribeca's rivals after claiming he is in top condition ahead of Friday night's Inter Dominion final.
Soho Tribeca impressed in the heats when winning the first two, before finishing second behind San Carlo in the third.
He has pulled up unbelievably well, I couldn't be happier with him. I did his blood yesterday and it is better than the one I did before the heats.Kim Prentice
Prentice believes the five-year-old is in even better shape than before the series began and has high hopes for Friday night.
"He has pulled up unbelievably well, I couldn't be happier with him," Prentice said. "I did his blood yesterday and it is better than the one I did before the heats.
"I hoppled him this morning and he felt enormous, he is certainly ready for the Final.
"He will be in the sand tomorrow and Thursday as he gets above himself, which is the last thing we want. I will keep some work into him, business as usual, to keep his mind where it should be."
After landing barrier four, Prentice plans to 'play it by ear' when it comes to tactics he will adopt in the $1.1million Group One.
"The draw is interesting," Prentice said. "I just have to come out and have a look and play it by ear from there.
"I think Tiger Tara will lead for sure from the pole. It would be nice if we could cross him, but the way he came out at Bunbury in the second heat, I don't think anyone will get across him.
"Lazarus is the one to beat from two, while Chicago Bull is likely to get the best run behind Tiger Tara without doing any work, which brings him right into it."
