Shadow Sax hits top form

Trainer Emma Stewart believes Shadow Sax is in a strong position to extend his winning streak when he takes to the track at Geelong on Saturday night.

The rising star has been drawn to find the lead from barrier three and Stewart is confident Shadow Sax can build on his unbeaten record of five wins this term.

"He has come back in sensational form and has stepped up every time we've raised the bar a little," Stewart said.

"He's had seven starts from a 15-month break for six wins and a second, so you can't ask for much more from him.

"His last couple have been very good as he's gone up in grade and won really well. From a good draw at Geelong he will be pretty hard to beat."

Stewart believes Tee Cee Bee Macray is the main danger to Shadow Sax's chances of victory but the champion trainer says she is also very wary of multiple Cup winner, Messini.

Tee Cee Bee Macray has yet to win a key open class feature but has gained a big following and gets his opportunity to reward his faithful army of followers after landing barrier six.

Messini will begin from the inside of the second row and is also a big danger.
